It is with a sad heart that we announce the end of Skabretta as a working band.

We have all had a great time over the last 10 years, played with some wonderful musicians, made some good music along the way, met some great people, played some great venues & been blessed with brilliant audiences.

We would like to thank everyone for their support & supporting live music, none of us could do what we love doing without you.

We would also like to thank all of the musicians we have worked with, especially those that have stepped in to dep when required.

Unfortunately over the last couple of years it has become increasingly difficult to get gigs, taking into account that we are a larger band with a horn section. We have always worked hard to get our live sound as good as it can be & we do not want to compromise that, by going out with less musicians or unrehearsed due to longer lay offs between gigs. It has also become increasingly hard to even assemble a band in order to perform & those of us that organize the band are unable to commit 100% to it anymore, it is hard work & has become far too stressful.

We apologise to anyone that has purchased tickets for any future gigs & to the venues & organisers, but we have to have a cut off point.

our last official gig as Skabretta will be at The Pelham Arms Gravesend on Saturday15th June, we also have a charity gig with a 1 hour set, to honour at The Rum Puncheon on Sat 27th July.

Once again a big high 5 to you all & thank you for your continued support, we will see you at the remaining gigs & for a big farewell at The Pelham Arms.
